Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Cereal Bars | Menguy’s

150g rolled oats
80g Menguy’s 100% Peanut Butter
40g dried fruits/nuts (crushed hazelnuts and almonds)
2 tbsp honey (or agave syrup for a vegan version)
50g dark chocolate chips
100g unsweetened applesauce or pear compote (according to your taste)
Line a rectangular or square baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, crushed nuts, and dark chocolate chips.
In a small saucepan, warm the peanut butter, honey, and fruit compote over low heat until the mixture is smooth and slightly liquid.
Pour this warm mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well with a wooden spoon or a rubber spatula until everything is thoroughly coated.
Transfer the mixture into the lined pan and press down firmly using a spoon or spatula to create a tight, compact layer.
Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the preparation is completely firm. (Note: The original text repeats this step twice for emphasis!). You can store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
